VanX B.V. attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. This privacy statement tells you what data we collect, why we do so and how we handle it with care. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG).

2. To whom this privacy statement applies.

This privacy statement applies to anyone using VanX's services, including:

  • Customers booking rides through the app or website

  • Drivers performing rides

  • Web administrators and staff who manage the platform

This applies to all parts of VanX: the website, the mobile app and the internal web app for administrators.

3. What personal data we process

VanX processes personal data that you provide to us yourself or that is automatically collected when you use our services.
They include:

  • Name, address, e-mail address and phone number

  • Pick-up and delivery addresses of trips.

  • Payment details via Stripe

  • GPS location during rides

  • Vehicle and license plate information of drivers.

  • Feedback, reviews and communication through the app or website

  • Technical information such as IP address, device and browser data

4. Why we process personal data

We process this data to properly perform our services. We do this for the following purposes:

  • Running and managing rides

  • Linking customers and drivers

  • Processing payments through Stripe

  • Providing customer service and support

  • Improving our app, website and services

  • Complying with legal obligations

5. On what bases we do this

VanX processes personal data on the basis of one or more of the following legal bases:

  • User consent

  • Execution of an agreement (such as a booked ride)

  • Legal obligation (e.g., record-keeping requirements)

  • Justified interest (such as security and abuse prevention)

6. Sharing data with third parties

We share personal data only with parties necessary for our services. We do so only with reliable partners with whom we have processing agreements.
These include:

  • Stripe - for payments and refunds

  • Google Firebase - For hosting and data storage of the mobile app

  • Wolf-Web / Surver - for website hosting

  • Google Analytics and Meta Pixel - for statistics and marketing purposes

  • Email services such as SendGrid or Mailgun - for transaction emails and notifications

These parties process data only according to our instructions and not for their own purposes.

7. Retention periods

VanX does not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
The following retention periods apply:

  • Trip data: 12 months after trip execution

  • Invoices and payment information: 7 years (according to tax laws)

  • User accounts: as long as the account is active or until removal is requested

8. Security of personal data

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from loss, misuse or unauthorized access.
Consider SSL encryption, limited access rights and secure storage on European servers via Google Firebase and Surver.

9. Cookies and tracking

VanX's website and app use cookies and similar techniques.
These are needed for:

  • Functional purposes (making the website and app work properly)

  • Analytical purposes (insight into usage via Google Analytics)

  • Marketing purposes (such as ads via Meta Pixel)

You can manage your cookie preferences through the cookie settings or your browser.

10. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or limit your personal data. You may also withdraw your consent or object to processing.
To do so, send an e-mail to info@vanx-solutions.com.
We will respond to your request no later than 30 days.

Not satisfied with the way VanX handles your data? Please contact us via info@vanx-solutions.com.
You additionally have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Authority via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

12. Changes

VanX may change this privacy statement as our services or laws change.
The latest version can always be found on our website and in the VanX app.
